Opened in 1989 the course has matured well and has a good mix of undulating meadow and parkland holes. Trees and water come into play on a number of holes and the large pond in the middle of the 9th hole makes you think carefully with your tee shot. The 13th is a long dogleg par 5 which lulls you into a sense of security however beware of the out of bounds on either side and the strategically placed bunkers before you turn for the green

The one special thing about Cave Castle Golf Club is the peace and quiet – located in the small village of South Cave with neighbouring farmland the only noise is the wildlife and banter of other players
